Litigation Co-Chair Liz Weiswasser spoke with The American Lawyer about her lateral move to Paul, Weiss with litigation partner Anish Desai and their work to bring over 18 other colleagues in the weeks that followed. Noting that everyone they invited to join them did so, Liz highlighted Paul, Weiss’s culture of mentorship as one of the reasons the firm was an attractive destination for her group.
“Think of the concept of a garden,” Liz says in the article. “Sometimes you have something very beautiful that is growing, but you know it is [reaching] the limits of the nutrients and light you have provided. If you want your garden to grow, you need to spend energy replanting it. We have replanted at Paul, Weiss.”
