On January 12, Bill and Jessica, representing Oracle alongside co-counsel at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, secured a contempt order and sanctions against Rimini Street in a long-running copyright infringement dispute over Rimini’s software support services. The ruling, in the District of Nevada, puts Oracle in a strong position for its jury trial, which is scheduled for this fall. On January 13, the court found the patent Baxalta was asserting invalid for lack of enablement—a major win in this high-stakes dispute over Genentech’s blockbuster treatment.
