Litigation partner Jeh Johnson was interviewed by David B. Wilkins, faculty director of Harvard Law School’s Center on the Legal Profession, for the Center’s September/October 2021 issue of The Practice. In the article, “In the Situation Room: A Conversation with Jeh Johnson,” Secretary Johnson discusses his experience managing national securities crises during his time in government, how to build the best team and how to guide clients through crises.
“When it comes to what crisis lawyering is, there’s often a very short fuse on a decision and you’re not going to have time to go to Westlaw and do a lot of legal research as you’re trained to do,” Secretary Johnson said. “It often comes down to one’s own basic legal instincts about what is right.”
