Litigation partner Kannon Shanmugam discussed the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2024-25 term on the September 27 episode of Bloomberg Law’s “Cases and Controversies” podcast. Kannon discussed several notable upcoming cases, including an appeal concerning so-called “ghost gun” kits and a death penalty case in Oklahoma. Overall, there are fewer blockbuster cases scheduled, and “a lot of cases that I would describe as the ‘meat and potatoes’ cases that you typically see on the Supreme Court’s docket,” Kannon observed.
