Secretary Johnson Warns of Shutdown’s Damage to National Security

Litigation partner Jeh Johnson was part of a panel convened on Thursday by House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Bennie Thompson, comprised largely of Obama-era officials, that addressed the partial government shutdown’s effect on national security. Secretary Johnson emphasized that, even if the shutdown were to end tomorrow, “I fear the damage done to our security will be for months, if not years.”
