Litigation partners Chris Boehning and Daniel Reich and associate Edmund Bao will speak at the 2025 International Law Weekend conference hosted by the American Branch of the International Law Association (ABILA) at the Fordham University School of Law.
Chris will moderate a panel, “The Second Century of the Federal Arbitration Act,” which will analyze the evolution of U.S. arbitration law over the last century and explore what it might look like in the next 100 years, touching on recent developments, emerging challenges and proposals for reform.
Daniel, who is also serving as co-chair of the ABILA International Arbitration Committee, will speak on “Does Investor-State Arbitration Impede Responses to Climate Change?” The panel discussion will address whether and how investment law and investor-state arbitration impact actions to mitigate climate change.
Edmund will speak on “Pathways to Employment in International Law,” which will provide practical career advice and guidance for using different networking and career tools to gain internships and entry-level legal jobs in the current job market.
The conference will take place in New York City, October 23-25. Chris’ panel will take place on October 24 at 4:30 p.m. ET; Daniel and Edmund’s panels will take place on October 25 at 12 p.m. ET and 3:50 p.m. ET, respectively.
