On May 8, litigation partner Jeh Johnson was presented with an honorary Doctor of Law degree from the University of the District of Columbia (UDC). UDC President Ronald Mason, Jr. presented the award at UDC’s annual commencement ceremony. This marks Secretary Johnson’s 11th honorary degree.
Secretary Johnson was recognized for his intellect, strength and compassion on the national and international stage and for his contributions as a public servant through a range of leadership positions, including as general counsel of both the U.S. Department of the Air Force and the Department of Defense, and as Secretary of Homeland Security.
