Litigation partner Catherine Nyarady was recognized in The American Lawyer’s “Litigation Daily” column for winning a resounding post-trial victory for software and semiconductor giant Qualcomm Inc. in a closely watched breach of contract suit brought by semiconductor and software design company Arm Holdings Ltd. over Arm’s technology license agreement with Qualcomm subsidiary NUVIA. On September 30, the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware granted judgment as a matter of law to Qualcomm, rejecting Arm’s last remaining claim and its efforts to overturn a December 2024 jury verdict in Qualcomm’s favor. The court’s ruling has broad ramifications for the global semiconductor market and the protection and generation of innovative technologies, including artificial intelligence.

Litigation partners William Marks and Michael Holston, counsel Conrad Scott, and associates Jacob Apkon, Adam Basner, Jake Braly, Alexander Butwin, Stephanie Chin, Ruby Garrett, Kimberly Grambo, Flint Patterson and Candice Yandam Riviere were also named in the article.
