Walter Rieman retired as a partner at the firm in 2023 and is now of counsel in the Litigation Department. Walter focused his practice on civil litigation arising from securities-related disputes, including disputes arising from distressed sovereign debt, and other commercial and corporate disputes.
He has argued appeals before the Second, Seventh, and Ninth Circuits, before New York’s Appellate Division, and before the New York Court of Appeals. Cases in which he briefed and argued appeals include Petróleos de Venezuela S.A. v. MUFG Union Bank, N.A., 51 F.4th .456 (2d Cir. 2022); AHW Investment Partnership v. Citigroup Inc., 661 Fed.
