Sabin Chung is a Counsel in the Antitrust Practice Group. Her extensive practice in antitrust law encompasses all facets, including criminal grand jury investigations, civil inquiries, private litigation, merger clearance, and compliance counseling. Sabin has a diverse clientele across multiple industries, demonstrating deep expertise in addressing novel antitrust issues arising from emerging technology sectors such as AI, cloud computing, two-sided platforms, and ad-tech. She also has experience with white collar criminal defense and enforcement matters involving cross-border legal challenges.

Prior to joining the firm, Sabin worked at a global international law firm. Additionally, her previous experience includes working as in-house counsel at Korean Air during a time of significant antitrust investigation and litigation, where she played a crucial role in navigating complex legal challenges posed by competition authorities, Class Plaintiffs and various other litigants. Her background also includes clerking for the Honorable Ketanji Brown Jackson of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, as well as at the Office of International Affairs in the Federal Trade Commission.

In addition to English, Sabin is fluent in Korean.

  • Hawaiian Air in obtaining antitrust clearance for its $1.9 billion deal with Alaska Air.
  • Run:ai in obtaining antitrust clearance for its combination with Nvidia.
  • Google in defense of several matters in connection with claims that Google illegally maintained a monopoly over general search engines and related general search advertising markets.
  • Korean Air in defense of several matters in connection with a conspiracy to fix prices for air cargo shipping services and transpacific air passenger travel.
  • Panasonic in an FCPA Investigation by the DOJ and SEC.
  • Samsung Electronics in the antitrust aspects of its $8 billion acquisition of Harman International Industries.
  • T-Mobile in the antitrust aspects of its $146 billion merger with Sprint Corporation.
