Ross Oliver is a partner in the Investment Funds Group, with over 20 years of experience in the formation and operation of a variety of private equity funds, including fund formation, GP-led secondary transactions, co-investment funds, tax structuring, litigation, regulatory and compliance, acquisitions and sales of investments. Ross also advises on asset management M&A transactions, “upper-tier” and management company issues, and regulatory and compliance considerations.
Prior to joining Paul, Weiss, Ross spent over a decade at Crestview Partners as partner and general counsel. During this time, Ross oversaw all aspects of the business, developing a unique understanding of the day-to-day operations of a multibillion-dollar investment manager. He has significant experience in fundraising, partnership arrangements, employment agreements, structuring and execution of U.S. and cross-border transactions, regulatory compliance, corporate governance and complex global portfolio company matters.
Ross is active in the private funds industry and previously served on the board of the American Investment Council (AIC).
Before entering private practice, Ross served as a law clerk to Hon. Cecilia M. Altonaga, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida.
