Nick is a partner in the Restructuring Department and specializes in complex, cross-border debt restructurings, insolvencies and special situations financings.

He advises a wide range of clients, including par and secondary investors and creditor committees, as well as debtors, financial sponsors and insolvency practitioners. He has extensive experience in restructuring processes and has worked across a range of jurisdictions and industries.

The Legal 500 UK recognizes Nick as a "Next Generation Partner", with one client noting that he is "truly exceptional, he combines very strong technical knowledge of insolvency and restructuring law with a very commercial, deal-oriented approach and he always delivers excellent client service." He was also twice named a "Rising Star" by IFLR in its Europe awards.

  • The coordinating committee of lenders to Sino-Ocean Group Holding Limited, a listed Chinese real estate group, on Sino-Ocean’s contested UK restructuring plan

  • Hunkemöller International, a Dutch fashion retailer, on its incremental financing and liability management transactions and subsequent recapitalisation

  • Vue International, a leading cinema operator, on its fully consensual financial restructuring, including additional liquidity financing

  • The Vroon Group, an international shipping group headquartered in The Netherlands, on its landmark cross-border restructuring involving the first-ever parallel Dutch Wet Homologatie Onderhands Akkoord (WHOA) and English scheme of arrangement processes

  • Imagina Media Audiovisual (Mediapro), one of Europe's leading audiovisual companies, on its negotiations with creditors, recapitalization and subsequent refinancing

  • Intralot S.A., a gaming company listed on the Athens stock exchange, on its liability management transactions

  • The KCA Deutag Group, an international oil and gas services company based in Aberdeen, Scotland, on its comprehensive balance sheet restructuring

  • Various credit funds on distressed situations, security enforcements and special situations financings
