A partner in the Capital Markets group, Matt advises private equity funds in connection with leveraged acquisitions, investments and in financing-related matters for their portfolio companies as well as public and privately held companies and investors in connection with a wide range of capital raising transactions, including initial public offerings, high yield debt transactions, liability management transactions and complex private capital and hybrid investments.

  • Funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management on the financing aspects of their acquisitions of:
    • Kelvion, a global developer and manufacturer of energy-efficient heat exchange and cooling solutions
    • Evri, a UK-based parcel delivery company, including an offering of £725 million of senior secured notes
    • TI Fluid Systems plc, a British-American multinational company which develops, manufactures and supplies automotive fluid storage, carrying and delivery systems
    • Purmo, a European provider of sustainable indoor-climate solutions, including an offering of €380 million of senior secured notes
    • Miller Homes, a UK-based housebuilder, including an offering of £425 million of senior secured notes and €465 million of senior secured floating rate notes
    • Graanul Invest, a European producer of sustainable wood pellets, including an offering of €380 million of senior secured notes and €250 million of senior secured floating rate notes
    • Reno de Medici, a European producer of recycled cartonboard, including an offering of €445 million of senior secured floating rate notes
    • Primafrio, a European temperature-controlled infrastructure and logistics company
  • Issuers and borrowers in financing transactions, including:
    • Graanul Invest, on the consent solicitation to extend the maturity of its existing €630 million of senior secured notes and its €100 million super senior revolving credit facility
    • Reno De Medici in its offering of €600 million of sustainability-linked floating rate senior secured notes
    • Purmo in its offering of €50 million of additional senior secured notes
    • Kem One, a leading European chlorovinyls producer, on the negotiation and execution on a new €200m financing
    • Miller Homes in its offering of €475 million of senior secured floating rate notes
    • OEG Energy Group in its offering of €75 million of additional senior secured notes
    • Lottomatica S.p.A., an Italy-based gaming company, in its €600 million initial public offering and seven different high yield bond offerings, including its issuance of €500 million of floating-rate senior secured notes in connection with the financing of its acquisition of SKS365 Malta Holding
    • Vallourec SA, a France-based manufacturing company, in its refinancing, consisting of $820 million of senior notes
  • Participants in private credit, hybrid capital and special situations transactions, including:
    • the representation of the lenders for the investment by funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management in a 50% stake in Ørsted’s Hornsea 3, the world’s largest offshore wind project
    • the investment made by funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management to a subsidiary of Ardagh Group S.A., a global supplier of recyclable metal and glass packaging, consisting of an initial €790 million senior secured term loan and a $250 million senior secured exchange term loan
    • the representation of the lenders for the investment by funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management in a non-controlling stake in bp’s interest in the Trans-Anatolian natural gas pipeline
    • the representation of the lenders for the investment by funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management in a non-controlling stake in bp’s interest in the Trans Adriatic Pipeline
    • the investment by funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management in the financing of the take-private of SYNLAB AG, a Germany-based pharmaceutical group
