A partner in the Investment Funds Group, Marian Shin represents investment advisers in the formation and ongoing operations of private investment funds, including private equity, hybrid funds, hedge funds, co-investment vehicles, single investor partnerships and managed accounts. The Legal 500 names Marian as a “Recommended Lawyer” in Alternative/Hedge Funds.

She also represents clients in connection with upper tier transactions, including seed transactions, complex joint venture arrangements and spin-outs of asset management teams. Marian has extensive experience in other upper tier issues, including employee compensation, carry plans, key person, management structure and succession matters. Additionally, Marian advises clients on compliance matters and issues related to the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.
