Of counsel (retired partner) in the Antitrust Group, Joe focused on antitrust M&A, litigation and counseling. Joe was Chairman of the Federal Trade Commission from 2018-2021. In a prior stint at the FTC, Joe served as Director of the Bureau of Competition from 2001-2003. Joe is also a former co-chair of the Paul Weiss Antitrust Group.

Joe has been recognized as a leading antitrust lawyer by Chambers USA, Chambers Global and The Legal 500. Earlier in his career, he was selected to Crain’s New York Business “40 Under 40,” which recognizes 40 rising stars in the New York business community.
