Thomas "Tommy"
Rucker

An associate in the Litigation Department, Thomas Rucker counsels clients in a wide range of antitrust matters, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Federal Trade Commission, state attorneys general and international enforcers. His experience spans a broad range of industries, including technology, airlines, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, consumer products and financial services.

Tommy is a vice chair of the ABA Antitrust Law Section’s Books and Treatises Committee. He also maintains an active pro bono practice, including working with the Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless, where he serves as an ambassador and as the firm’s lead for the clinic, and was recognized with its 2024 Exceptional Volunteer Award for his support of its mission.

In law school, Tommy was a research assistant for Law Professors Josh Wright and Tim Muris and was the antitrust symposium editor of The George Mason Law Review. Tommy received George Mason University’s Outstanding Academic Achievement in Antitrust Law award and the Global Antitrust Institute’s Outstanding Performance in Antitrust Law and Economics award.
