An associate in the Litigation Department, Calum represents clients in confidential and high-profile commercial disputes. Calum has advised clients across the mining, oil and gas, telecommunication, transportation and insurance sectors worldwide. In addition to civil litigation, Calum has significant experience advising on international investment law and representing sovereigns and state-owned enterprises in institutional, ad hoc and ICSID arbitrations, as well as in foreign courts.
Calum maintains an active pro bono practice, representing clients in criminal appeals and post-conviction proceedings before state courts, and civil rights claims in federal court.
Prior to joining Paul, Weiss, Calum was a New York-based international arbitration associate at another global law firm. He previously clerked for Justices Huscroft, Thorburn, Hoy and Pardu of the Court of Appeal for Ontario and was recognized for his contributions to the Court Martial Appeal Court of Canada. Before law school, Calum worked as an analyst at a leading London-based global risk and intelligence consultancy.
