Staci Yablon Discusses Becoming a “Point Person” Litigator in Bloomberg Law

Litigation partner Staci Yablon authored an article for Bloomberg Law discussing how to work towards a leadership role in litigation. The article, “Rise to Point-Person on Your Litigation Team by Connecting Dots,” published on April 7, explains that clients value outside counsel who can act as “point person” by understanding the client’s business and delivering pragmatic outcomes. Staci suggests that junior lawyers develop a deep understanding of their clients’ businesses, priorities and risk tolerance so that they position themselves to become these clients’ point person over time.

The article also discusses how junior lawyers can make themselves indispensable as the use of artificial intelligence grows. “AI can’t replace the foundational importance of collecting and understanding the detailed, idiosyncratic facts of each case—and that’s an area where junior and midlevel attorneys on a case team can excel and add value,” Staci says.
