Litigation of counsel Martin Flumenbaum and firm chairman Brad Karp’s latest Second Circuit Review column, “‘Remembering Chief Judge Robert A. Katzmann,” appeared in the June 23 issue of the New York Law Journal. The authors discuss the impact Judge Katzmann, who passed away on June 9, made on the Second Circuit and the broader community during his 22 years on the federal appellate bench. “Judge Katzmann made the lives of thousands of ordinary citizens more fair, more just, more equitable,” they note. “He made our judicial system more accessible. He challenged the status quo, always looking for a better system, a more just path, a level playing field.” Litigation associate Timothy Beavers assisted in the preparation of this column.
