Melinda Haag Quoted on Theranos Trial in The Wall Street Journal

Litigation partner Melinda Haag was quoted in an article, “Theranos Founder Elizabeth Holmes’s Trial: Prosecutors Must Show Intent,” published in The Wall Street Journal. The article discusses the obstacles the prosecution has to overcome in order to win a conviction against Holmes, as well as the reputational stakes for the Northern District of California in its handling of complex, highly publicized technology cases. “It’s not often that an office prosecutes a case where books have been written and documentaries made. It would be a high-profile case in any office,” says Melinda, who served as U.S. Attorney for the Northern District from 2010 to 2015.
