Corporate partner Megan Spelman spoke with Law360 Pulse about her strategies for generating business in the new year. In “5 Business Development New Year's Resolutions,” published on December 21, Megan notes that she plans to build on the solid foundation of trust that she established with clients as a junior associate. From the outset, Megan worked hard to build client connections “by always being available to them, going above and beyond, and delivering consistently high-quality results.”
This year, Megan says, she’s focused on deepening these connections organically, catching up with clients “to discuss market trends, shared personal interests, professional goals and what keeps them up at night. Over the course of these conversations, you begin to hear themes, gain insights and enrich the advice you are able to provide your clients with.”
Megan also plans to continue spending time with Paul, Weiss attorneys across practice groups. “[This] often leads to opportunities to share insights or make a client introduction and enhances my own advice that I provide to clients,” she says.
