The firm’s recently formalized Investigations Group was featured in articles published by Law360 and JD Journal on June 26.
Litigation partner Jeannie Rhee, who co-chairs the practice alongside Harris Fischman and John Carlin, told Law360 that the firm’s investigations team is cross-disciplinary, reflecting the reality that enforcement actions are increasingly coordinated and overlapping, involving multiple federal, state and international regulatory bodies, and sometimes including Congressional probes.
"The impetus for formalizing the practice is to recognize that we're at this inflection point where the myriad of governmental bodies from around the globe are really coming at this in a more integrated approach," Jeannie says. “Governments are cross-collaborating and coming at this from that multidisciplinary approach, and so we are doing the same." The newly formalized group’s multidisciplinary approach was similarly highlighted in a JD Journal article.
