Digital Technology Group Chair Katherine Forrest spoke with Business Insider about the ways in which she and other lawyers are employing artificial intelligence tools to improve their workflow. In “From Paul Weiss to DLA Piper, 5 lawyers share how they’re using AI at work,” published on May 2, Katherine talks about her use of Harvey to speed up research and review, noting that it is not a substitute for legal judgment. “How do you determine that apart from speed, you’ve got accuracy and analytical excellence?” she says. “You’ve got to have a human who’s trained to evaluate that for now.” Katherine also uses Hebbia to sift through lengthy filings and answer complex legal questions about their contents, and is experimenting with ChatGPT’s Deep Research function, she says.
