Intellectual property & technology transactions partner Jonathan Ashtor was featured in a Lawdragon “Lawyer Limelight” Q&A highlighting his accomplishments in IP and tech dealmaking. In the wide-ranging Q&A, published on November 6, Jonathan discusses his path to becoming a lawyer in technology law; his multi-faceted practice, including work in the AI and biotech spaces; and his role as global co-head of Paul, Weiss’s Intellectual Property and Technology Transactions practice, among other topics.
“I love the challenge and the variety in my practice,” Jonathan says. “I get to work on some of the most important deals for many of the world’s best-known companies, which in itself is exciting. I particularly enjoy the added challenge of figuring out how a client’s IP assets fit into the deal structure, as well as identifying IP issues and developing solutions to help clients protect their key technologies and avoid pitfalls. There is never a boring moment.”
