Investment Funds Group Global Co-Head Marco Masotti spoke with Private Equity Law Report about the findings of the Group’s annual survey of recent private equity funds with minimum sizes of $2.5 billion.
In the article, “Recent Survey Shows Market Adversity Is Tempering LPs’ Ability to Negotiate Key PE Fund Terms,” published on September 5, Marco notes that despite recent challenges in the fundraising environment, there is sustained and increasing demand for private equity by limited partners, among other trends. The market is slowly improving and “a rebound in fundraising is likely in late 2024,” Marco says.
“LPs are biting in a way that they haven’t been recently – you had to get their attention just a few months ago, but now they are reaching out,” he adds. “It just feels like they are engaging a little bit more.”
