Litigation partners Lorin Reisner and Richard Tarlowe will participate in the “Hot Topics in SEC and DOJ Regulation, Litigation and Enforcement” conference hosted by Sandpiper Partners LLC. The conference, co-sponsored by Paul, Weiss, brings together senior SEC officials, DOJ prosecutors and defense counsel who are directly involved in shaping the contours of securities enforcement.
Lorin will moderate a panel, “View from the Government: DOJ/SEC Priorities and Perspectives,” which will feature senior officials from the U.S. Attorney’s Offices for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the SEC Enforcement Division, discussing current enforcement priorities and trends in white collar investigations and prosecutions. Lorin will also moderate “Investigative Practices, Cooperation, Parallel Proceedings and Current Trends,” with Richard joining as a panelist. The panel will discuss cooperation and self-reporting, regulation by enforcement, the SEC’s evolving Wells and pre-Wells processes, insider trading investigations and enforcement, parallel investigations, the potentially increased role of state attorneys general, and other topics.
The conference will take place at Paul, Weiss’s New York office on January 22 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. ET.
