Lorin Reisner and Harris Fischman Participate in Sandpiper Conference on DOJ and SEC Enforcement and Litigation

Litigation partners Lorin Reisner and Harris Fischman participated in the “Hot Topics in DOJ/SEC Enforcement and Litigation” conference hosted by Sandpiper Partners LLC. The conference, co-sponsored by Paul, Weiss and held at the firm’s New York office on January 23, brought together senior SEC officials, DOJ prosecutors and defense counsel who have been directly involved in shaping the contours of securities enforcement.

Lorin co-moderated the conference and the panel “DOJ/SEC Priorities and Perspectives,” discussing corporate and white collar investigations and prosecutions in the SDNY and EDNY. Lorin also co-moderated and Harris spoke on the panel “Investigative Practices, Cooperation, Insider Trading and Parallel Proceedings,” discussing programs and incentives established by the SEC, DOJ and U.S. Attorney’s Offices for cooperation and self-reporting, asset management enforcement priorities and best practices for defense counsel and the government in parallel investigations, among other topics.
