National Security Practice Chair John Carlin will moderate a panel, “National Security Law in Private Practice,” at the American Bar Association’s Annual Review of National Security Law Conference. The panel of leading private practitioners will discuss the substantive law, legal procedures, responsible agencies and practice challenges in cybersecurity and data privacy, export controls and economic sanctions, foreign direct investment and industrial security, and national security-related investigations and enforcement. Panelists will also explore the various career paths into national security law, whether initially in public service or private practice, and how the role of the private practitioner may differ from that of government lawyers.
The conference, co-sponsored by Paul, Weiss, will take place in Washington on November 13 at 1:45 pm ET.
