Jane O’Brien to Participate in Cornerstone Research Data Breach and Data Privacy Panel

Litigation partner Jane O’Brien is participating in an expert panel, “Cracking the Commonalities and Differences in Data Breach and Data Privacy Cases: Current Trends and Future Directions,” sponsored by Cornerstone Research. The panel will examine recent high‐profile cases such as In re: Marriott International Inc. Customer Data Security Breach Litigation and In re: Facebook, Inc. Consumer Privacy User Profile Litigation to address commonalities—and differences—that characterize such cases; evolving injury methods to value personal data and potential harm due to loss of privacy or breach of personal data; and implications for future litigation.
