Litigation partners David Kessler and Ian Richardson, and associate Sam Rebo, will deliver a myLawCLE webinar, “State National Security Law and Role Conflicts,” on the increasing role of U.S. state governments in crafting regulations that address what have traditionally been viewed as federal national security objectives. The session will explore state-level efforts in a variety of contexts, including laws restricting foreign property rights, efforts to enact sanctions-style limitations on foreign companies and the use of state consumer-protection laws in litigation against companies with foreign ties to enforce these goals. The webinar will also address the compliance implications of these state-level actions for companies and investors.
