The Stars Group to Acquire Sky Betting & Gaming for $4.7 Billion

Paul, Weiss is representing Canadian online gaming company The Stars Group Inc. in its $4.7 billion cash-and-stock acquisition of U.K.-based gambling company Sky Betting & Gaming from CVC Capital Partners and Sky plc. This combination will result in the world's largest publicly listed online gaming company. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2018.
