Paul, Weiss is advising Sigma Defense Systems, a leading provider of data integration, information dominance, and development, security and operations (DevSecOps) solutions for the Department of Defense and portfolio company of Sagewind Capital, in its acquisition of Aries Defense, a defense technology company that specializes in tactical video and sensor integration. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition strengthens Sigma Defense’s capabilities at the tactical edge, integrating Aries Defense’s mission-proven edge intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) products with Sigma’s Olympus ecosystem, a DevSecOps-enabled platform for software development, orchestration and multi-domain data fusion. Together, the companies will enable commanders and combat soldiers to securely share real-time ISR video and sensor data, ensuring a seamless flow of information.
The Paul, Weiss team is led by corporate partner Ted Ackerman and associate Tyler Isaman, and includes counsel Justin Fraterman; tax partner Scott Sontag; and executive compensation partner Rebecca Coccaro.
