Paul, Weiss Wins Fourth Circuit Appeal for iStar

Paul, Weiss secured a victory for client iStar Inc. on October 22, when the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit affirmed an award in favor of iStar for attorney and expert fees of over $12 million. In a per curiam opinion, the Fourth Circuit agreed with Paul, Weiss’s arguments that the district court properly awarded fees after over a decade of hard-fought litigation between iStar and a real estate developer over a failed development during the 2007-2008 financial crisis.
