Barnes & Noble to Be Acquired by Elliott

Paul, Weiss is representing the Board of Directors of Barnes & Noble, Inc., the nation’s largest bookseller, in the company’s approximately $683 million all-cash acquisition by Elliott Advisors (UK) Limited. The transaction with the hedge fund Elliott is the culmination of an extensive strategic alternative review conducted by a Special Committee of the Board of Directors, which was announced on October 3, 2018.
