Private equity fundraising declined in Q4 2025, with $124 billion raised globally, down 15% YoY from $146.3 billion in Q4 2024. In Q4 2025, 229 funds closed, down 55% YoY from 512 funds in Q4 2024, marking the lowest number of funds closed in any quarter over the last five years.
