Litigation partners Audra Soloway and Kannon Shanmugam were recognized in Law360’s “Legal Lions of the Week” column on November 17, alongside co-counsel from Sullivan & Cromwell, for their final Second Circuit win in a decade-long investor class action against Goldman Sachs.
Representing Goldman Sachs, the team brought the long-running litigation to a close when the plaintiffs agreed to drop the lawsuit following our earlier class decertification win in August. In that decision, we won decertification on the basis of a 2021 U.S. Supreme Court ruling that requires courts to determine whether generic statements about a company's usual business practices can be linked to an inflated stock price.
