Paul, Weiss Named a Finalist in Two Categories in Concurrences’ 2026 Antitrust Writing Awards

Concurrences shortlisted two articles written by Paul, Weiss lawyers in its annual Antitrust Writing Awards, recognizing the year’s best writing on competition issues in the legal and economic fields.

“European Commission Consults on Revised Block Exemption and Guidelines for Technology (and Data) Licensing” was shortlisted in the intellectual property category. The article, co-authored by antitrust partners Ross Ferguson, Annie Herdman and Nicole Kar, IP partner John Patten, litigation partner Rich Pepper and associate William Feerick, discusses the Commission’s September 2025 decision to launch a consultation on revisions to the Technology Transfer Block Exemption Regulation and guidelines.

“What EU ’Killer Acquisition’ Study Means for Pharma Deals” was shortlisted in the mergers category. The article, co-authored by antitrust partners Nicole Kar and Henrik Morch alongside associate Robin Campbell, discusses the Commission’s April 2025 workshop and study on killer acquisitions.

Voting for the Readers’ Choice selection is open until March 3. Winners will be announced on March 24.
