Litigation partners Melinda Haag and Josh Hill were recognized as 2022 “Top White Collar Lawyers” by the California-based Daily Journal. The publication noted Melinda’s work defending a Jawbone executive charged with criminal theft of trade secrets after moving to Fitbit, reversing a class action certification and securing a complete victory for mortgage servicing company Ocwen Financial and winning the dismissal of a potential class action against PayPal, among other investigations and civil litigation.
The publication highlighted Josh’s work defending waste management company Recology in a major San Francisco municipal government scandal, and successfully negotiating a global settlement with the government that resolved an FCA suit against the International Technological University and allowed the school to continue to enroll foreign students.
The annual list includes 12 of the state’s leading white collar lawyers.
