The Daily Journal recognized litigation partners Kim Branscome and Melinda Haag among its “Top 100 Lawyers and Distinguished Counsel 2025” list, which annually spotlights the leading 100 lawyers in California.

The publication highlighted Kim’s practice helping major pharmaceutical, consumer products, energy and automotive companies navigate their highest-stakes litigation challenges. In particular, it noted her achievement as lead trial counsel to Bayer subsidiary Monsanto Company in Washington state court, in which Kim secured complete defense verdicts on 11 of 15 plaintiffs’ claims of alleged injuries from PCB exposure.

The Journal also highlighted Melinda’s work as a leading trial lawyer and her role as co-chair of the Paul, Weiss White Collar and Regulatory Defense Group. Among other achievements, the publication noted her representation of Meta Platforms, which she helped secure partial summary judgment in a precedent-setting case in copyright law involving the fair use of authors’ work in the development of generative AI tools.
