Litigation partner Karen Dunn was honored as a Law360 2023 MVP in the Technology category. The MVP awards recognize the attorneys who have had the biggest wins and made the most significant contributions to their practice in the past year.
In an interview with Law360, Karen says that attorneys who grow professionally are those who don't allow fear to prevent them from taking on what may seem like insurmountable challenges. “My advice is to start from a place of ‘yes,’” she says. “I believe that the opposite of yes is not no. It's fear. So oftentimes when people are saying no, they can't do something, it's because they're worried they won't be able to do it. I think the younger lawyers who have the greatest amount of growth and success are the ones who — it's not that they don't have the fear, it's that they shove it aside and they start from a place of ‘yes’ and they take on things they think they can't do.”
