Litigation partners Bill Isaacson and Jessica Phillips were recognized in The American Lawyer’s April 19 “Litigation Daily” column for securing a $100 million damages verdict for their client International Construction Products (ICP), a now-defunct heavy construction equipment importer, in its nearly decade-long lawsuit against industry giant Caterpillar. In its 2015 lawsuit, ICP alleged that Caterpillar unlawfully pressured online equipment marketplace IronPlanet to back out of its agreement to sell ICP equipment directly to consumers, dooming ICP’s business. After an eight-day trial, federal jurors in Delaware sided with ICP, finding that Caterpillar tortiously interfered with ICP’s contract with IronPlanet.
