Sarah Warren is the firm’s Associate General Counsel. In that capacity, she helps manage the Professional Responsibility Department, including the firm’s conflicts and new business intake, professional responsibility, risk management and compliance functions.

Sarah’s background is in white collar criminal defense and securities enforcement, with a focus on government and regulatory investigations, often involving complex financial instruments. She has represented institutions and individuals in white collar criminal and regulatory investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and other federal, state and local agencies. Her work has included confidential internal investigations into allegations of accounting fraud, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations, insider trading and financial crimes, as well as related civil matters. She has also worked on a broad range of corporate and commercial litigation, with an emphasis on shareholder and derivative litigation, and securities class actions.

Sarah’s pro bono experience has included representing clients before the Special Master of the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund; the wrongfully convicted seeking exoneration through the Innocence Project at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law; and indigent defendants in federal criminal prosecutions in the Southern District of New York, through the Criminal Justice Act.

Sarah served as co-chair of the Young Professionals Committee of the Innocence Project for nearly seven years, and was a member of the Innocence Project Lawyers’ Committee and Development Committee for several years. In recognition of her work, the Innocence Project awarded Sarah the Advocate for Justice Award in 2013.
