Of counsel in both the Corporate and Entertainment Departments, Peter L. Felcher concentrates in mergers and acquisitions, as well as financings, particularly involving companies in the entertainment and media industries. Many of his clients are active in the music publishing, recording, motion picture, theater, book publishing, dance and non-profit areas. Mr. Felcher is deeply involved in legislative, regulatory and litigation activity on the industry level in the music business. His practice also involves representation of creative individuals in the entertainment business. He is Counsel to the Cole Porter Musical and Literary Property Trusts.
While in active practice, he has taught at Columbia Law School, and co-authored several articles on the rights of privacy and publicity and published in the Yale Law Journal. Mr. Felcher is a frequent speaker on copyright and entertainment industry issues and was recognized in 2006-2009 by Chambers as one of the leading lawyers for Media and Entertainment-Corporate in the United States.
