As counsel in the Corporate Department and member of the Intellectual Property & Technology Transactions Group, Elana D. Bensoul focuses her practice on intellectual property transactions and counseling. Elana has advised on a wide range of intellectual property matters, including licensing arrangements for trademarks, patents, copyrights and software, intellectual property aspects of corporate transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, financings, capital markets transactions and securitizations of franchise businesses, and IT and vendor agreements. She also has experience with trademark clearance, prosecution and maintenance, as well as Internet law issues, website privacy policies and terms of use. Elana has worked with clients across a variety of industries, including media, entertainment, fashion, quick-service and casual dining, technology and manufacturing.

Elana was an Executive Copy Editor and Articles Editor for the Columbia Journal of Law and the Arts and a Research Assistant for the Kernochan Center for Law, Media and the Arts at Columbia University School of Law. Prior to attending law school, Elana worked in publishing at Random House.
