An associate in the Restructuring Department, Martin J. Salvucci focuses on restructuring and recapitalization transactions and related litigation matters. He represents debtors, creditors, investors and other stakeholders in distressed situations, both inside and outside of court. Martin has amassed a broad range of experience across various industries, including aviation, energy, healthcare and telecommunications.

Martin regularly presents on topics related to insolvency to groups of law students and non-bankruptcy lawyers. In 2025, Martin received the Paul, Weiss Teaching Award for his work mentoring junior attorneys.

Representative recent experience includes:

  • Rite Aid Corporation, a full-service pharmacy company providing a broad range of services, including retail pharmacy, pharmacy benefit manager, and mail order, across 17 states, in the company’s restructuring
  • Mitel Networks Corporation, a global leader in business communications, in its successful chapter 11 process which trimmed the company’s debt by $1.15 billion, reduced its annual interest payments by about $135 million and provided approximately $125 million of new funding to support its future operations
  • CovisPharma, a multinational pharmaceutical company, in the out-of-court recapitalization involving more than $1 billion of outstanding first- and second-lien funded debt
  • The Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) in the chapter 11 case of Brazos Electric Power Cooperative, Texas’s largest generation and transmission cooperative, commenced in the wake of Winter Storm Uri which caused charges in excess of $55 billion in the Texas wholesale energy market
  • The successor bond trustee and an ad hoc group of certain holders of Tarrant County Cultural Education Facilities Financial Corporation Retirement Revenue Bonds (The Stayton at Museum Way Project), Series 2020 Bonds, in connection with safeguarding their interests in respect of Series 2020 Bonds and The Stayton, a continuing care retirement community
  • Salem Harbor Power Development LP and certain of its affiliates, owner of a 674 MW gas-fired, combined cycle electric power generating facility located in Salem, Massachusetts, in their prearranged chapter 11 cases commenced on March 23, 2022 in the District of Delaware
  • Co-counsel to Apollo Global Management, as DIP lender in the chapter 11 proceedings and contested confirmation process for Grupo Aeroméxico, the flag carrier airline of Mexico
