Daniel Gao is an associate in the Antitrust Department. He advises clients on a variety of complex antitrust matters, focusing on merger clearance, investigations, regulatory counseling, and criminal and civil litigation. Daniel has represented clients before the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and the U.S. Department of Justice, and in matters involving state attorneys general and international enforcers. His experience spans a broad range of industries, including private equity, technology, health care, energy, automotive, consumer products and financial services.
Daniel serves as a Young Lawyer Representative for the Joint Conduct Committee of the Antitrust Law Section of the American Bar Association.

- Endeavor Energy Resources in its $26 billion merger with Diamondback Energy.
- IBM in its $6.4 billion acquisition of HashiCorp.
- Novolex in its acquisition of Pactiv Evergreen, Inc. for $6.7 billion.
- Rocket Companies in connection with multiple transactions, including:
- its $14.2 billion acquisition of Mr. Cooper Group Inc.; and
- its all-stock $1.75 billion acquisition of Redfin.
