Corporate partner Scott Barshay was quoted in a Financial Times article discussing the deceleration of global dealmaking in recent months. The total volume of deals announced since October 1 is down more than 25 percent compared to this year’s first and second quarters, the lowest for a fourth quarter since 2013. Commenting on the current turbulence in global stock markets, Scott said that “[i]f we don’t get more stability, there is a good chance that even fewer deals will be announced in 2019.”
