Corporate partner Krishna Veeraraghavan was interviewed by The Deal’s David Marcus on the latest episode of the “Drinks With The Deal” podcast. In the interview, Krishna discusses his background, how he became an M&A lawyer and his experience in health care and life sciences dealmaking. He also discusses the risks of excessive antitrust regulation of combinations between biotech and pharma companies.
“There is a public policy issue here and risk to the consumers… if these types of deals don’t happen or are being challenged,” Krishna said. “It’s really incentive-driven innovation at the biotech companies to pursue these novel therapies and strategies. If you now say ‘you can’t’ or ‘we’re not going to allow these transactions to happen,’ that really dissuades the innovation on the biotech side.”
