Corporate partner Eric Wedel was quoted in a National Law Journal article on the rapid expansion of major law firms in Los Angeles and the competitive hiring market for legal talent. In “Los Angeles Outpaces Top Markets in NLJ 500 Lawyer Growth,” published on June 5, Eric discusses the firm’s continued momentum following its launch in Los Angeles. With 17 attorneys joining in 2024, Paul, Weiss was one of the top-five firms in terms of attorney growth in the region last year.
“Regardless of the demand or current market, we have a need for talent in order to put in place the pieces that we think are necessary to present as a full-service law firm, and that’s our goal in LA,” Eric says. “My strategy is to hire the people that are covering the clients that we want to have at our firm.”
