Global M&A Chair Rob Kindler discussed the current M&A environment and the outlook for 2026 initial public offerings on the April 7 episode of CNBC’s “Squawk Box.” On M&A, Rob notes that although the first quarter has seen numerous large transactions, many began last year. So far, it’s business as usual and there’s no indication that any dealmaking “floodgate” has been opened, he says. IPOs launched in the coming months, however, could net exceptional results.
“It’s going to be an incredible year for IPOs,” Rob says. “The market’s wide open, and I think this is a time when not only the large companies—the AI companies—but also the private equity firms, they’re going to go out there and they’re going to monetize.”
